I did not expect to get so many questions for the Character List Meme (*eyes Iris*) so quickly, so I will start answering now. For those who would like to leave more questions, go ahead (but do it before you read the rest of this post, or else you will be cheating XD Unless you want to cheat...). :D

And because Iris wants to guess who is who, please highlight the following chunk to see who the people are, if you'd rather know. After Iris is done guessing, I'll probably edit my answers so that names are involved so then you don't have to keep refering to the list.

We had Chinese New Year dinner tonight with Mom's side of the family. Evil grandma is actually okay when you're there with a bunch of people - it's mostly how my mom feels the need afterwards to find something to criticize me about (today's was, "You spent a lot of time looking at me"). And one of my aunts really bugs me. Both of my uncles married non-Asian women, and one of them is just so ethnocentric when it comes to food. Granted, PoPo doesn't make it easier by ordering some Americanized Chinese dishes when we go out to eat, but my aunt will make faces and declare something gross just from reading its name on the menu. One example from today was the Oysters and Meat dish, which is actually chopped oysters and chopped meat, eaten wrapped in a lettuce leaf with plum sauce (which my aunt and cousin call "Mushu pork sauce" x_x), and turned out to be probably her favorite dish of the night.

Am I being too harsh? I guess I just figured that after twenty-something years of this, she'd at least have learned a little subtlty, like my other aunt.

And so that this 999th post isn't just whining... snagged from pretty much everyone:

And a semi-new void where I actually understand bits of things without English subtitles (though Mandarin ones help!), and where last night's Word-That-Jumped-Out-At-Me was "bīng qí lín" ('ice cream') of all things. And how I think that we should all communicate via emoticon (I was going to attempt to write that bit in Chinese, but my grammar is so rusty, you're spared - for now). I wish I was better at outward squeeing. I squee a lot internally... >.>

Also, revenge for being pulled into that void known as Jpop. >.> Though I guess I'm not complaining too much.

I'm seriously pondering a username change, and I am pretty sure of what I would change my username to which is a lot further along than I was when I mentioned this before. But do I want to pay LJ more than I already do, though? Do I want to continue having a username that is ultimately meaningless..?

I was syringed today. That was fun. And told about things I should've been doing for the past week that I missed because I was too groggy coming out surgery. Woo!

Which reminds me... this last year in English class, we did this thing for fun where we guesed where everyone would end up in ten years. Some people took it more seriously than others (seeing someone as a doctor as opposed to as a drag queen) but it was all in fun. One girl couldn't think of what I'd be doing, and finally said that in ten years, I would have just disappeared forever. Sidenote: another guy stuck us all on a pirate ship - I was ship musician and in charge of making people walk the plank. :D
