I just got out of a ridiculously long and repetitive floor meeting for the girls at the I-house. Our meeting went for almost an hour and a half. The guys were done in ten minutes. x__x
Still haven't finished the other post. I have some ranting to do about my presentation, and then some more ghei fun (and what Keri is calling my first kiss - with a boy. DUN DUN DUN. I disagree, but have to concede that if you go with the basic definition of a kiss, then yes, it was). Maybe I'll put the ghei fun here.
But first,
Book meme:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people.
I had two books equidistant from me, so I used both of them.
This seems to be my week for playing tutor. Yesterday, I helped Daichi with his presentation on magic tricks, and Keri with her presentation on the results of a travel survey her group did. And right now, I'm helping boy!Kai (maybe I should just call him Chengkai now) with a cover letter for a professor working with alternative energies.
Someone should pay me. XD

ASHA (1998) clarifies this role for clinicians in keeping with district, state and federal regulations. Speech-language pathologists with appropriate ESL training beyond the usual academic preparation may provide the primary direct ESL instruction. However, speech-language pathologists without the requisite training can assume a collaborative consultation role along with trained ESL instructors. Requisite knowledge includes second language acquisition theory, comparative linguistics, and ESL methodologies.

The dog was talking! Not really talking, since its mouth wasn't moving - but communicating through some means other than speech.
Stand up and follow me! the dog commanded.
Nakata did as he was told, clambering to his feet.
