i can't live in a world without baaaart!
Jul. 9th, 2007 07:21 pmMom just called to see how things were. What she doesn't know is that I spent the last forty minutes locked out of my house. >.> Yes. The last time this happened was when I was in Junior High and forgot my key. But this time, I went out through the garage to water the plants, and the wind blew the house door shut.
I'm dressed for bed already because I'm lazy, so I'm wearing gray sweatpants and an oversized neon green shirt (from the zoo; it says ZOOM on the front), and no shoes. I did the whole frustrated crying thing and then went in search of things I could attempt to pick the lock with. Ended up at my neighbor's house with the garage door opener in hand.
She had paperclips and knew a lot more than I thought about locks, but still couldn't get the door open. We called the police department and who turns up but a fire truck. (/_\) They were pretty good-natured about it all, though - one of them was all, "Oh, it's the walk of shame," as I came up the sidewalk (in.. a good-natured way). :P They found an unlocked window on the lower level of the house that I hadn't even thought of because we never really use that room for things other than storage.
Fireman 1 (repeating the fireman who's halfway in the house): You don't have a dog, do you?
Me: Nope.
Fireman 2 (to the fireman in the house): A ferocious pitball!
And that was it. >.> I haven't decided what to tell my parents yet. My neighbor advises me to not tell them.
Randomly, I found out that one of the girls in my Speech class is Cambodian. And another one is the first non-LJ-connected person I know who's heard of Rain, Super Junior and Epik High. She's Korean, and was going to go to Rain's show in SF before it was cancelled.
